PEOPLE INTERESTED in following the goings-on of
Winter Olympians at Lillehammer, Norway, have the option
of watching Canadian or American coverage of the many
events taking place. Aside from the obyious national biases,
the most obvious difference between the two networks’ cov-
erage seems to be the importance placed on the Tony:
Harding — Nancy Kerrigan ordeal. The Canadian network

is trying to play it down while the American network is
playing if up. Recently Harding cut a deal that would allow
her to compete in the games, All she had to do was drop her
$25 million U.S. lawsuit against the U.S. Olympie
Committee (USOC). The USOC is investigating Harding's
role in the attack on Kerrigan, but chances are that no find-
ings will be available until the games are over. |
