When Sharp Communicators Inc. partners Jean Douglas and Donna Rae put together the first World of Women Show last year, they had projected an attendance figure of approximately 10,000. But when the dust had settled, they found that just under 15,000 peo- ple passed through the gates to take in a wide range of self- development seminars and browse through 125 business displays. Said Douglas: ‘‘There had been a couple of attempts at putting together something like this in the past, but it was never done proper- ly.” The trade show producers are expecting over 15,000 women to attend this week’s show, Nov. 17 to 19, Il a.m. to 9 p.m., and Nov. 20, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., under the sails of the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre. There will be approximately 200 display booths set up this time around. Local retailers and de- signers will be presenting fashion shows.
