vance warning, over 80 per cent of
all accidents could be avoided?

Here is an opportunity to test
your knowledge of emergency
driving situations by completing
the following quiz within one
minute. .

Give yourself 10 points for each
correct answer and deduct five
points for every five seconds over
60 seconds.

(1) If a truck stops suddenly in
front of your car while you are
travelling on a major highway the
best way to avoid hitting it is:

A. Slam on the brakes, lock up
the wheels, and steer.

B. Turn steering wheel sharply.
Avoid braking.

C. Squeeze the brakes hard and
steer (0 Open space.

D. Pump the brakes gently and
steer to Open space.

(2) While driving through an in-
tersection a vehicle fails to yield
and drives across in front of you.
Your evasive action should be:
