NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE is hereby given by the City of North
Vancouver, pursuant to Section 957 of the Municipal
Act of British Columbia, that a Public Hearing will
be held on MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 1987, at 7:30
P.M..in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 141
West 14th Street, North Vancouver, B.C. io receive
representations in connection with the following
proposed amendments to the “Zoning By-law, 1967": ”

BY-LAW NO. 5779

To amend the text of the Zoning By-law insofar as
it pertains to the CS-2 Service Station Commercial
Zone by redefining and clarifying the term “service
station use’, and by limiting such use to the retail
sale of motor fuels and the servicing or repair of
motor vehicles. The By-law will prohibit the following

uses:

the storage and sale of propane, compressed
natural gas, and liquefied petroleum gas;

automobile painting and bodywork;

retail service group 2 uses, as defined in the
“Zoning By-law, 1967";

an arcade use.

The proposed amending by-law wil! also add and
define the term “accessory service station use” as
a permitted use in the CS-2 Zone, and will limit such

use to the following:
a manual car wash;

the sale of automobile accessories and

lubricating oils;
an office use

provided that such accessory uses are directly’
related and incidental to a service station use.
The amending by-law will also have the effect of
excluding, as a permitted use in the CS-1 Service
Commercial Zone, the sale of gasoline in conjunction
with the operation of a car wash.

ALL PERSONS who deem their property to
be affected by the proposed amending by-law have
the opportunity to be heard, in person, by attorney,

or by petition.

COPIES of the proposed amending by-law
and pertinent staff reports may be inspected at the
office of the City Clerk between 8:30 a.in. and 4:30
p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of

holidays. .
