reported to her executive
that provincial Libera]
leader, Shirley. McLoughlin
had identified “two or three”
people who could be. in-
terested in seeking a
nomination on the North.
Shore in the next provincial
election.

colleagues that the party was
‘not in a position to mount a
campaign to equal that of
the Socreds or the NDP. .

Thieves who took a shine
to the crests now havt a
matched pair - stolen from
the signs at West Van's
boundaries with North Van
and Horseshoe Bay.

First to go was the onc at
Sunset Creck, which

disappeared June tS. Then
on June 30, the thieves took
the one from the sign at

Capilano Bridge on _ the
Upper Levels Highway.

The crests are valued at
$600 each - and _ the
municipality would = tike

them back.
