W. Van trails are
in a ‘sad state’

Dear Editor:

This regards the sad state of
West Vancouver trails.

On the west side of Meadfield
Road, just north of Timberfield,
there is a fine bronze plaque fixed
to a boulder proclaiming one of
several entrances to the Sahalee
Trail. This is very impressive to
the drivers-by.

For hikers and walkers it is a

beyond the plaque, it is difficult
at times to keep track of where
the trail is, let alone beat down
the bushes.

Whichever level of government
holds the responsibility of main-
taining our enviable trails, it has
surely been negligent this summer.
I, for one, have the scratches on
my arms and legs to prove it.
