Terry Fox to get Order of Canada OTTAWA (UPC) - Governor General Ed Schreyer will fly to Vancouver Friday to invest Terry Fox as a Companion of the Order of Canada, distinguishing the one-legged runner as the youngest recipient of the Nation's highest civilian honor. Schreyer announced the appomtment Monday following a decision by the Order of Canada’s Advisory Council that a special Investiture would be appropriate for the man whose fight for cancer research touched Clark vs Trudeau the hearts and minds of millions of Canadians across the country. Because of Fox's condition following a week of chemotherapy for hung cancer, Schreyer will fly to the 22-year-old runner's home city. Normally, recipients are summoned to receive the award at Government House in Ottawa.
