Summer time means
holidays for some, but
volunteers are needed to fill
in ata number of centres.
The following are recent
requests received by the
North Shore Volunteer
Action Centre — calf 985-

If you would like to teach
art to 6 - 12'year olds, there
is a spot for you at an Art

You're busy. You're away from the office a lot. You miss
calls. And that can mean lost sales. Why not put our
telephone number to work for you? On your business
cards, in your ads, on your lawn signs. Our experienced
personnel know the real estate business. They're trained
to get all the facts. Who's calling. About which property.
What information the caller is after. Where he or she
can be reached. It's like having your own secretary.
And it’s a service-that will pay for itself over and over

shop at weekends. They
would also be pleased to

exhibition.

A blind person doing a
research project needs
someone to proof read his
work.

Maurice Sendak.

Today’s children are
luckier, and the stories of
this world-famous author-
illustrator can be found: in
every bookstore and library.

Two Sendak creations will
be featured at the North
Vancouver District Library
Maurice Sendak Film
Festival, at Lynn Valley
branch on Saturday. July 26
at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
and at Seycove Branch at
7:00 p.m. on Monday, July
28.

“Where the Wild Things
Are” is a fantasy classic, and
“Really Rosie” is a musical
comedy featuring songs by

Dollman, affectionately
known as “Dolly”, a
longtime resident of West
Vancouver, who died on
Menday, July 14th, in her
98th year.

Born in London, England,
in 1883, Mrs. Dollman was
also a former resident of
Jersey in the Channel
Islands. She came to Canada
in 1923 and had made her
