pensioners who have a
broader, more caring
outlook than you. I hope
you know some of them.

to do with this country. Why

You're not just a citizen of
Canada, that’s just a politi-
cal designation. You happen
to be a world citizen too —
just like everyone on this
earth. So what if we have
different skins, different
fanguages, different
customs? Why should one
culture be prescribed as ‘‘the
one and only’’, ‘‘the best’’?

Don’t you know that in-
nocent little kids are being
murdered in South Africa;
that apartheid means fami-
lies torn apart and “resettl-
ed’? hundreds of miles from
loved ones; that people are
being murdered because one
culture has said it’s better
than another?

We should get involved so
thar all people, regardless of
skin color, cultural dif-
ferences, age, etc., can live a
decent life. Let it be known
that intolerance and injustice
will not be tolerated
anywhere, for any reason.
