WEST Van Highlanders went 8-1 through regulation
play en route to the North Shore senior boys’ soc-

cer crown.

The Highlanders blanked Windsor 3-nil in the deciding
game of the North Shore tinal, but it was the Collingwood
Cavaliers and the St. Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints who
posted the best results at their respective provincials. The
Cavaliers won the B.C. double-A championships, while the
North Shore catholic school placed first at the B.C. single-

A Invitational tournament. At the uiple-A provincials West
Vancouver placed third and Sutherland ninth.
