prepared for needy families in
Greater Vancouver.

Approximately 5,000 new
toys and dolls are given to
parents in need to gladden the
hearts of children on
Christmas morning.

Vancouver's Harbour Light
Centre turns lonely holidays
into joyous occasions. Over
2,000 men will be served
Christmas dinner by volunteer
members. These meals are in
addition to the 800 meals serv-
ed each day, year-round, at
the Harbour Light.

Volunteers will also
distribute 16,000 sunshine bags
of treats and gifts to nursing
homes and senior citizen cen-
tres.

The Salvation Army centres
for women provide care and
support for sufferers of
alcoholism, abused women and
children and ‘‘street women.”

More than 400 low income
persons in cooperation with
Anderson’s Restaurant will be
served a special holiday dinner
in December.
