IN RESPONSE to needs identified

many social service workers, the
West Vancouver Alcohol and Drug
Prevention and Treatment Services
Society has been established to
operate a multi-faceted clinic in
central West Vancouver. -

The registered, non-profit socie-
ty, which is funded &y the B.C.
Ministry of Labor andi Consumer
Services, has announced the open
ing of the Scaview Clinic at Sore
and Marine in West Vancouver.

Services are free to people living
ot. working ix West Vancouver and
include couuselling for individuals,
families. and groups, out-patient
treatment and ‘eferral for those
affected by thcit own or a family
member’s drvg or alcoho! prob-
lems. :

The clinic also conducts com-
munity awareness, prevention and
short-term treatment programs and
provid<s comprehensive assessment
and follow-up services.

The Seaview clinic location has
been selected so that patients or
yeople seeking information may
visit conveniently and with
privacy.

Young people and senior citizens

will find the location easy to reach
as it is in a multi-use building on
Marine Drive with West Van-
couver bus service andi a parking
loi within a few steps of the clinic.
