You can't just pour some antifreeze in your radiator. You need a hydrometer to check what temperature it is good for, so it’s best to get this done along with a winter tuneup. * Your winter tuneup should include plugs, points (if you have any), lube and perhaps a change to lighter oil if you plan on driving up North or East, say 5W-30. ¢ Have your battery check- ed. The colder it gets, the harder it is to start your car and the less efficient the bat- tery becomes. e Along with the tuneup, ask your mechanic to check your heater hoses as well as any others.
