ships come and go is an
established feature of sum-
mer living along the West

A near record’ cruise
season is scheduled for the
Port of Vancouver, with 174
departures for Alaska and 10
for the Caribbean and Mex-
ican coast.

George, Universe, Rhap-
sody (formerly the Staten-
dam and now owned by Pa-
quet Lines of France),
Daphne and Constellation.
The Pacific Princess (the
“Love Boat” of TV fame).
Fairsea, Sagafjord and Royal
Viking Star are based in San
Francisco and will stop over
in Vancouver en route to
Alaska. The Royal Viking
