Summer employees like 5 small shop atmosphere Small shops seem to lave a personal touch and friendly atmosphere that makes shopping a pleasure rather than a drudgery. Such are the shops along West Vancouver's Marine Drive where anything from hot tubs to:.aquariums can be bought. . Not only are these shops fun to shop in but they are fun to’work in for the many students who have found summer jobs there. The reason for this is that these stores are usually run by their owners who are very willing to teach their em- ployees all aspects of run- ning a small business. Because these owners offer such good training, some of them have been able to make good use of the Provincial Youth Em- ployment Program. P.Y.E.P. shares half of the AT WORK on the sewing machine at Lesile lane tabric and = Arxel’s a cost of wages with employers to create jobs for young people so that they can get on the job training and work experience.
