PLACE STADIUM Hundreds of cars to be on display at auto show OVER 450 cars will be on display at the 1989 Pacific International Auto Show, January 20 to 29 at B.C. Place Stadium. “The 1989 Auto Show will be our biggest and best show to date,’’ says show manager, Julia Blockberger. “We'll have the largest cross-section of makes and models ever exhibited at one location in the Pacific Northwest.” “We're really excited about moving the 1989 Auto Show to B.C. Place Stadium,’’ says Blockberger. **We've increased our exhibit space to 250,000 sq. ft., and, for the first time, we'll have a vast array of after-market products and services on display. Show visitors will see the latest and greatest innovations in automobile .design and engineering and, as well, they'll view the newest products to enhance the care and maintenance of automobiles."’ Major manufacturers have indicated that they will! use the 1989 Auto Show as the venue for unveiling their new models. Newcomers Peugeot and Passport will join the ranks of over 25 automobile manufac- turers at the Show. . And Ford wut feature an extensive display of trucks...from panel vans and half-tons right up to huge semi-trailers. Many features will be introduced at the 1989 Pacific International Auto Show. These include: * British Columbia Auto Association's Antique Avenue — a collection of classic and vintage cars provided by the Vintage Car Club of Canada, many of which are newly acquired by local collectors and will be showcased for the first time. ® Rothmans Porsche Turbo Cup Video Wall, a 12- screen video wall offering 66 viewing hours of racing action footage. © Luxury Lane on the concourse level with an all- star cast of luxury and performance automobiles from B.M.W., Jaguar, Alfa-Romeo, Saab, GM Cadillac division plus several exotic models. © Daily Way, a park-like area sponsored by the Vancouver Sun and Province newspapers down the centre of the main level at B.C.
