By Surj Rattan News Reporter Jarvis, the Liberal’s caucus chairman, made the comment to the News at the convention .on Friday night, one day before the party elected Vancouver Mayor Gordon Campbell as its new leader. Jarvis backed Campbell in the leadership race. “I'll be able to work with all the candidates except for two, and that’s essentially (Charles) McKin- ney and Wilson. “Actually, I can work with Gordon Wilson but there will be no Liberal party if he became leader. The candidates will leave caucus and go somewhere else and form.a party,’’ said Jarvis. Asked if he too would leave the Liberal caucus if Wilson was elected leader, Jarvis replied: “That’s a hard thing for me to say, but 1 would have to say ! would leave in some other form as being a Literal.” Meanwhile, West Vancouver- Garibaldi MLA David Mitchell, ‘who left the Liberal caucus last year after internal problems be- tween him and Wilson, said he has ‘not decided if he will return to the ‘Liberal caucus and work under - Campbell’s leadership. - :Mitchell had supported former -North Shore MLA Gordon Gibson in the leadership race. Campbell won the party’ s lead- ership: on the first, ballot with 63.3% of the votes.
