to Mount Seymour Provincial Park.

“A lot of the trails here are being used as feeder routes
to get to GVRD and North Van District land,” he said.

With a myriad of landowners involved — including all
three North Shore municipalities, BC Parks, GVRD,
GYWD and private property owners — Syroishko said the
issuc of illegal trail-building is complicated.

However, he reiterated, one thing is simple to under-
stand: “if these illegal trails continue to be built, there'll be
nothing lett to ride on in a few years.”

_-The™ parks supervisor said a meeting involving the
NSMBA and representatives from all the landowner groups
is planned for the near future to address illegal trail buiid-
ing and other concerns.

Cheque scam

NGATH Vancouver RCMP need help identifying this man. Last December a i.
cheque was stolen from the mail.of a local business. That cheque was :

reproduced and subsequently cashed eight times. The above man is in the
process of cashing one of them. They ranged in amounts from $4,000 and
$18,000 and totaled $50,000. Anyone with information on his identity is
asked to phone the RCMP at 985-1311 and ask for Const. Kennedy or Crime
Stoppers at 669-8477. Quote North Van file No. 98-5753.
