buoyed by the knowledge that she

ing briefly separated on April 5,
1995.

BEATTY - Sarbara Joan (nee Brawn)
passed away peacefully in her home
at Redwing, Penticton, B.C. on Feb-
tuary 25, 1997, following a coura-
geous battle with cancer. Born April
14, 1935 in Nelson, 8.C. Predeceas-
ed by her father William (1955),
sister Betty (1962) and mother
Helen (1986). She will be loving!
temembered by her husband Biil;
sons Jim (Debbie) of Agassiz, Joe of
North Vancouver; and daughter San-
dra {Harold Dorgelo) of Netson;
special grandchildren Darcie, Darren
and Szrah; brother Richard Brown of
fletson; and nephews lan, Neil,
Garry and Brian Isbister,

. Barbara devoted her life to caring

for others. She completed ber
furse’s training at Royal Jubilee
Hospital in Victoria in 1957. After
taking time to raise her children,
she continued her nursing career in
North Vancouver at Lions Gate Hos-
pital - Evergreen House (1 South) for
17 years, until setiring in 1993.
Barbara touched us all with her
kindness and gentle ways. She- will
be truly missed.

Memorial service to be held at the
Penticton United Church, Saturday,
March Ist at 4:30 p.m. Reception to
follow at the Redwing Clubhouse. In
lieu of flowers, donations to the Ca-
nadian Cancer Society would be ap-
preciated,

away peacefully on February 23,
1997 in North Vancouver. Bern
March 14, 1909 in Vernon, B.C. to
Megnell H. of Kent, England and
Lilian (Mackenzie) Pigou of
Tasmania. He moved to North Van-
couver in 1928 with his father and
sister Elfrida. Predeceased by his
wife of 53 years, Nancy (Philip) in
1955, He was an avid Ham Radio
Operator tor 63 years and also volun-
teered at, and contributed to the
North Shere Museum. He is lovingly
temembered by his family, Verna,
Susan Howatd (Bruce), Russell (Eva)
and grandchildren James, Jennifer
and Roxanne. No service by request.
