Before Judge J.L. McCarthy in North Vancouver provincial court on Nov, 14: Marten William Tett was fined $500 and had his driver's licence suspended for six months after the 23-year-old North Vancouver man pleaded guilty to failing to at- tempt to notify the North Van- couver Chambers of Commerce after he was involved in a May 26 car accident on Marine Drive which resulted in damage to a Structure owned by the chambers. In addition, Tett was ordered to pay the chamber $250 in restitu- tion. Before Judge J.K. Shaw in West Vancouver provincial court on Nov. 14: Christos Stefas was fined $150 after the 27-year-old North Van- couver man was found guilty of failing to remain at the scene of an accident Sept. 16 on Mount Seymour Parkway. eee Richard James Hughes was fin- ed $150 after the 23-year-old North Vancouver man _ pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis resin in connection with a Sept. 12 drug seizure. eee Wayne David Brown received a conditional discharge and was put on probation for 18 months after the 21-year-old New Westminster man pleaded guilty to attempting to obtain more than $1,000 by false pretences from a woman on May 18. eee Duane Robert Burd was fined a total of $200 after the 18-year-old North Vancouver man_ pleaded guilty to two counts of mischief under $1,000. The first count in- voived damage he caused to a public phone and telephone booth and the second, damage to the window of a car, both on Sept. Burd was also ordered to pay B.C. Tel $105.98 in restitution and $56 to the owner of the car. Before Judge J.K. Shaw in North Vancouver provincial court on Noy. 13: Warren Winfield Gallagher, of no fixed address, received a suspended sentence and was put on probation for one year after the 49-year-old man pleaded guilty to fraudulently obtaining food at Dino’s Restaurant on Oct. 30. Before Judge J.L. McCarthy in North Vancouver provincial court on Nov. I: Donald Kennedy was fined $750 and had his driver’s licence suspended for 30 days after the 32-year-old North Vancouver man pleaded guilty to excessive speeding Oct. 21, 1989 on High- way No. I. _ Kennedy was also ordered to undertake a safe driving program.
