beach Aug. 12. West Vancouver's Parks and Recreation director
Frank Kurucz said it was the second seal found on a West Vancouver
beuch the same day. The other seal was picked up from Ambleside
beach by West Vancouver municipal crews and disposed of along with
the one pictured here. Though Eagle Harbour beach has been closed
to bathers since Aug. Il due to high fecal coliform counts, North
Shore health officer Rick Kwan said there was no connection between
the seal's death and the high coliform coutts.
