Two drowned in tug collision TWO FISHERMEN, missing after their boat collided with a Seaspan tug boat and a barge off Steveston Monday, were found dead by the Canadian Coast Guard and RCMP divers. Dead are Djenko Jadrijey, 47, and his son Franco, 22, both of Vancouver. A spokesman from the CCG said the accident occurred at 12:50 a.m. The two fisherman, who were salmon fishing on the Freser River, were aboard the Vivian 0, which overturned after the colii- sion. A spokesman from Seaspan International in North Vancouver said the Seaspan Valient tug was pulling a barge carrying a load of paper from Crofton to Fraser-Surrey docks. RCMP’s Marine Division and the provincial coroner's office are investigating. Mian in court for auto theft A STOLEN car has driven a 23-year-old man of no fixed address to court. Alvin Thomas Raweater appeared in North Vancouver provincial court Friday charged with one count of theft over $1,000 and one count of possession of stolen property. The charges were laid against him in connection with a Dec. 12, 1985 police seizure of a stolen automobile. Appearing before North Vancouver provincial court Judge J.B. Paradis, Raweater was remanded to Oct. 6 to fix a date for trial on the charges. Man arrested for trafficking A 23-year-old North Vancouver man was arrested recently and faces a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of (raf- ficking. The man was arrested after a plainclothed policeman purchased a small quantity of hashish from him Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. North Vancouver RCMP report the man was later found to be in possession of a farger quantity of hashish and marijuana. Bench warrant issued A BENCH warrant was issued for an 18-year-old North Vancouver man after he failed to appear Monday for a scheduled court date ona charge of possessing a dangerous weapon. Vancouver man Troy Richard Saikaley was charged following a March 24 incident in the parking lot of C.H. Cates & Tugs Ltd. in which he is alleged to have been carrying a baseball bat. John Martin Haydaht was fined $5 after k- pleaded guilty to failing to appear for a promised court daie. Before Judge J. B. Paradis in North Vancouver provincial court Sept. 26: A bench warrant was issued for Milan Pocuca after the 34-year-old Surrey man failed to appear for a scheduled court date to face charges of driving a_ vehicle without insurance. Shaw in North Vancouver provincial court Sept. 26: Peter Dvorak was fined $335 after pleaded guilty to one count of driving without insurance and one count of driving without a valid licence.
