Austria, I expected to be
deprived of the travelling
given by such
establishnients in Canada.

For those who aren't ac-
quainted with a Gasthaus,
they are a combination of
restaurant/pub with from
two to ten guest rooms,
usually - upstairs. Always
clean, with good food, good
service and a friendly at-
mosphere.

I'd not seen anything like
this in extensive travels
through B.C.

either a bath or'shower.

On a recent business trip J
had -a chance to stay at
Marianna’s. Prices varied
for rooms from $26 single to
$42 double with breakfast
included: Other meals are
from $5 for lunch to $15 for
dinner. The food is ex-
cellent.
