FOLLOWING DEBATE Sept. 26
over the future of seven homes on
the 1700 te 1900 block stretch af
Fell Avenue, North Vancouver
City Council voted to continue
with an official community plan
study of the area.

Council heard several subinis-
sions including that) of the
Mosquito Creek Neighborhood
Residents, represented by Karen
Milne and Zahen Meghji, owner of
one of the seven properties being
studied.

Meghii expressed his concern
over the development surrounding
his property.

“We are now seven single-fami-
ly homes in a sea of development,”
said Meghji. stressing that he has
experienced a decrease in both the
enjoyment and the value of his
property partly because of the
uncertainty over its future.

But said Coun. Stella Jo Dean,
“Tdon’s think the value of the prop-
erty is going down whatsoever. In
fact, 1 think it's like gold, it keeps
going up.”

Coun, Bill Beli added that the
uncertainty over the area's future
should be addressed.

“If the problem is a lack of sta-
bility in that area, | do think that
council should make it very clear
that we're not interested in further
development.”
