West Van Sports Ambassador Annis Stukis, who was with his attractive wife, Doris, told amaz- ing tales of Roy Lisogar’s sports prowess as a football player! Dat Richards recounted Roy’s showbiz history, and that reminds me — the last owner of the Cave Theatre Restaurant was also on hand. Stan Grozina looks better than ever! Herb Capozzi was also un the dais along with his tall lady-love, Alexandra, Herb could have been so much funnier. The delightful surprise of the evening, though, was the truly hi- larious humor of pixie-ish West Vancouver councillor Andy Danyliu! He broke everybody up! He wondered aloud what Herb Capozzi would do if they ever banned polyester leg-hold traps! He was also delighted to meet Annis Stukis. He always thought an Annis Stukis was something you bought at Ikea and brought home to assemble. He was genu- inely funny! Wendy Lisogar Cocchia, who helped organize this tribute to her dad, was lovely in a silver halter-neck gown of glittery black that she bought at Harrod’s in London while on a buying spree with her good friend Angela Lee, the wife of SilverWing Holidays’ Wellington Lee. Wendy’s comely sister, Laura Boyd, was in a delicate and demure flora! gown. heir pert and pretty mother, Lorrie, the former ice skating star, was in a brilliant red silk witha deep-V neckline. Grace MacCarthy, in ruffled black, was simply glowing. Ray and Grace were with their good friends, Morris and Zelma Charkow, B.C. Lions owner, redheaded Bill Comrie, was definitely enjoy- ing the do along with Corinne and Mel Zajac and Wendy Brain, while Pamela Martin and her beau, Ken Hutchison of Avalon Hotel, were holding hands. Mel and Bo Fodchuk also praised Roy and presented him with a cheque for the evening’s two charities worth $10,000.
