Weickardt sprints
to Masters gold

MASTERS TRACK athlete Hans Weickardt sprinted to two gold
medais at the recent B.C. Seniors Games in Comon Valley.

Weickardt, 76, won gold in the 200-metre with a time of 33.05
and also in the 400-metre with a 1:16.84 time.

In the 1500-metre, Weickardt captured third place, clocking in
at 6:20.

All three times were personal bests for the North Vancouver
runner.

Ruaning in the 70 and over age category, Weickardt says his
main competition was spritely 70 and 71-year-olds.
