Christmas and the class liked it so much they made the
book.

On a dark snowy night
From out of the sky
Came a very bright light
Not the size of a fly

It was blinking and swaying wee
- And it scared me - no lie
I thought if it saw me
I surely would die.

The closer it got
The brighter the shine
I shivered and shivered
And crawled under a pine.

It landed right near me
And opened its door

And out came a creature
Four feet and no more. “

He was brownish in color
With a heart that did glow

He approached me with caution
As he moved to and fro.

He walked very slowly

As though playing a game
Then said, “I'm E.T.

Can you tell me your name?”

Where did you come from
I asked with a smile?

Why I’m Santa’s neighbor
Give or take a few miles.

I heard about Christmas
And it sounded such fun

Without telling my parents
I came on the run.

Christmas is very special
I told my new friend.

It brings joy to everyone
Those you fight and defend

You say you know Santa

Is ho just like they say?
Roly poly and jolly

And comes Christmas Day?

He’s everything you heard
And maybe some morc,
For the toys that he brings
Come from the heart, not the store

Our Christmas is like that
I said with great pride
Giving, sharing, and loving
Both bere and world wide.
A pine tree is decorated
Lights, tinsel, the lot.
Shining and glowing
With an angel on top

Plicase have Christmas with us
You can sing if you try

E.T. felt so happy
He started to cry

After Christmas dinner
He thanked onc and all

His trip was worthwhile
He felt TEN feet tall

KT. go home now
He said with a blink
And got in his spaceship
As quick as a wink

With a twist of his head
He called with all bis might
I will sce you next year
