Hospital cuts ‘alarming’

OPEN LETTER TO B.C. GOV-
ERNMENT

I wish to express my alarm at
the recent announcement of cut-
backs to emergency services in our
hospitals. To close or cut back
even one bed in our emergency
wards has the potential of denying
life to someone in great need.

1 speak from experience. On
Friday, March 13 our son was in-
volved, as a pedestrian, in a
serious accident involving not one
but two cars.

On his speedy arrival at Lions
Gate Hospital, in the care of an
exemplary ambulance team, he was
immediately attended by the most
superior team of medical men 1
have ever had the good fortune to
come in contact with. ,

beyond belicf by nurses and doc-
