Tough fight in playoffs

AFTER A strong season by

two local touch football
teams, the B.C. Touch Foot-
ball Playoffs last weekend in
Vancouver proved a strong
challenge. Both teams made
iLinto the second round.

The N. Van League win-
ners, Deep Cove Demolition,
quarterbacked by Ken Peter-
son, beat the Confetti Can- |
nons in their first match; then
lost to the Trojans in the se-
cond game.

After leading 7-0 in the
first half, the usually tough
Demolition defence allowed
five touchdowns, losing
35-14.

The second representative,
the Bearded Clams quarter-
backed by Jim Cameron,
won their first game; then
lost their second in a see-saw
battle 24-15.
