of arson but even after his
years of study he still can’t

“It’s an age of affluence

hazards, because of his
investigation of the 1975
explosion which destroyed
Burrard Grain Terminal.

His successor Larry
Barker says: “George was
very instrumental in
upgrading grain clevators,
bringing in better dust

and sprinkler systems.”

Says Tyson: “Up until the
explosion here it was the
opinion of al) the grain
elevator people we couldn't
have an explosion here on
the west coast because of the
humidity.”

telling the story of the ecx-
plosion, He toured much of
North America with the
movic at the invitation of firc
chicfs as far away as Kansas
and New Oricans.
