Council agreed Monday to donate the’ money to help restore the church, located on the Squamish reserve in North Vancouver City. But the grant is contingent upon approval from Victoria, because District council is worried it doesn’t have the legal power to grant money for projects outside District borders. Yvonne Schmidt, president of the Save Saint Paul's Indian Church Committee, told council the project has almost run out of money.
