Should children of divorced
parents have a say in deciding
who they live with?

Yes. The child knows
who they get along with
the best. After choosing,
the child should live with
the decision. It would be
unfair to everyone if the
child jumped back and
forth.

$25,000 for St. Paul's fund:

RESTORATION of St.
Paul’s Church will get a
$25,000 financial shot in the
arm from North Vancouver
District council — if
Municipal Affairs Minister
Bill Vander Zalm approves.
Council agreed Monday to
donate the’ money to help
restore the church, located
on the Squamish reserve in
North Vancouver City. But
the grant is contingent upon
approval from Victoria,
because District council is
worried it doesn’t have the
legal power to grant money

for projects outside District
borders.

Yvonne Schmidt,
president of the Save Saint
Paul's Indian Church
Committee, told council the
project has almost run out of
money.

Mayor Don Bell said the
restoration of the !00 year
old church is a project
worthy of support because
“we don’t have one heritage

‘site that we have maintained

on the North Shore and we
have to maintain something
of the past.”
