-Walk-a-thon benefits Dream

ON SUNDAY, May 1, Sunshine
Foundation volunteers, including
Esso Retailers, members of the
RCMP and B.C. Ambulance, par-
‘ticipated in the first-annual Walk-
‘the-Dream walk-a-thon — a 10 km
- challenge in North Vancouver to
help raise funds for special children
in B.C.

The Sunshine Foundation of
Canada strives to make dreams
come true for special children who

are challenged by life threatening
illnesses or severe physical disabili-
ties.

One pet dog and 99 volunteers,
from the Vancouver Chapter of the
Sunshine Foundation, walked the
10 kilometre circle from Cates Park
in North Vancouver, along
Dollarton Road, Riverview
Highway, and Mount Seymour
Parkway, finishing up back at Cates
Park. The effort raised over
