Bill and family lived at the same ad- dress, 1250 Wes! Keith Rd, for 48 years. He was born in Nelson, B.C. and lived for a time in Trail where he worked at the Trail Smelter. He eventually moved to Vancouver and became employed in 1940 by the H.S. Crombie In- dustrial Mechanical Engineers as a superintendent Steamlitter. He remained with this Company, eventually becoming a_ pariner, until his retirement in 1975. Bill was an accomplished musi- cian, his favoured instruments being the saxaphone ahd clarinet and over the years he organized and played in many orchestras. He was also an ardent fisherman and was fortunate to have caught 3 giant Marlin off the coast off Mexico. Bill's parents were early Pioneers and his father Alexander Munro, with three other men in 1893 con- tracted to clear and rough-grade a street beginning at the North Vancouver waterfront northward. This was then a heavily wooded area and teams of oxen were us: ed. That primitive trail tater became Lonsdale Ave. Three children, Bill Jr, Mae and Joy were born to him and his first wife, Elfie. in 1968 he acquired two step-children, Paige and Craig McLaren when he married their Mother Liflian. Besides his wife, Lillian and the five children, he is survived by nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a sister Etlen is in Santa Rosa, California.
