By the mid-1920's the “Flapper” era had silk stockings in a pink “flesh” tone but these were limited in stretch and fit. 1930 saw the invention of nylon, a man-made fibre used to make hosiery sheer (and the first seamed sheer stockings). With 1965, the mini skirt's fashion focus on legs inspired the first all-in-one leg covering: pantyhose! Despite nylon's ability to stretch, pantyhose still lacked ideal fit and feel. 1987 presents "Silks" the new generation of legwear. Dramatic developments in fibre technology enable Phantom Hosiery to create a new leg covering with superior fit and feel.
