She does not go the traitorous route that our two-faced government is taking, The USSR can shoot an unarin- ed passenger plane out of the skies, drop bombs disguised as toys in Afghanistan to blow innocent children's hands off and our gov- ernment keeps right on doing business with those murderers whereas the South Africans are trying to keep their country together, Our government and our CBC are doing what they can, it seems to me, to destabilize the government there. Government Employees Union) demands that his union members boycott the handling of South African wines and liquor. 1 find it despicable that a leader of a union can enforce his ideological ideas onto the general public. It’s an absolute abuse of his position to endeavor to contravene the laws of the provincial gov- ernment. I suggest that if he desires so strongly to legislate and administer laws affecting the country, then he pursue another career. His statement that the majority of blacks in South Africa welcome sanctions is a diabolical lie. Seventy-five per cent of the blacks are moderates who do not favor any form of’ sanctions, and prefer a negotiated erasing of apartheid. dians would get themselves really well informed as to the real issues there and then stop our gov- etnment from what they're doing now. [ also wrote Prime Minister Mulroney that he has betrayed us all that voted for a change for the better; we thought and hoped, but he's continuing what Trudeau did. Swatsky Abbotsford That nine other provinces have legislated the boycott of South African wines, is no criterion. They are provincial leaders grandstanding on the international scene for their own benefit, and deliberately ignore the genuine reforms taking place.
