Pino Perovic and John McEwen were named to the tournament all-star team. The road to the nationals started out rocky for the Blues. Coach Neil Chester said, ‘‘! could tell when my players arrived at the gym (BCIT) Friday we were going to have problems. We were taking Douglas College too lightly, looking past them and on to VCC.”’ Despite the 14 point final spread (69-55) the game bet- ween Cap and Douglas Col- lege was close most of the way.
