Achievers honored

On April 3 the North
Shore Winter Club
presented the Esso Medals
of Achievement to 60
hockey players for their out-
standing performance during
the 1982-83 hockey season.

The awards program, co-
sponsored by the CAHA and
Esso Petroleum Canada.
recognizes three categories
of performance. most’ im-
proved, sportsmanship and
most valuable player

The program to be
operated over three years 1s
administered by the CAHA
with the co-operation of the
many hockey associations
across Canada. The head
coach of each participating
team selects three players
from his team to receive the
awards which are estimated
to total 60,000
