Students sought for Japanese exchange THE Seymour- Asumigacka Friendship Society is recruiting youths for its student exchange program this August. For the past 10 vears the non-profit, association has facilitated a two-week exchange between North Shore vouths and icenagers living in Asumigaoka, Japan. The groundwork for the exchange was set in “S35 when the Sevmour area was “rwianed” with Asumigaoka, 2 community develooment in the prefecture of Chiba, the sixth most populace pretec- ture in all of Japan. Promoting international exchange activities is a major component of Chiba prefec ture’s [nternationalization Plan dratted in March “96, according to information supplied by the Consulate General of Japan.
