The workshop is sponsored by the club to provide a uni- que opportunity to the community. The fee to register of $15 has been sei to cover only the minimum expenses of the room, lunch, coffee, and a substantial information package. This workshop is designed to give participants a hands- on expericnce in developing a personal financial plan. The workshop will include invest- ment options, tax strategies, legal pitfalls, how and when to use professional advice, and proper planning priorities. RRSPs will be discussed in depth. The workshop will be led by Doug Brown, a financial planner with Multifund In- vestments Ltd. of Van- couver. Guest speakers will include Joan Rush, a lawyer, Seniors in need CANADIAN Rea Cross trains volunteers through ‘participation in a two-day workshop. Candidates learn how.to encourage and lead seniors in weekly sociable ex- ercise groups in the com- munity at senior residences, or church halls. . The next workshop will be held at the Red Cross Centre, 4750 Oak Street, Vancouver, on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 31 - 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The course fee of $15 for voluntcers includes manuals. This Fun & Fitness workshop is designed by the Red Cross to meet the special needs of seniors.
