According to Jim Daley, Canadian international vice-president of the ATU, the ATU launched a sign-up drive in Victoria Monday and in the Vancouver area Tuesday in an attempt to win back the unionized employees of the transit system. “We'll be under a full head of steam by Tuesday,"’ Daley said. House burns A WEST Vancouver home was extensively damaged by fire that started on the roof of the house mid-afternoon (Monday. Fire was reported in the 8000 block of Pasco Road jisc before 3 p.m. Members of the West Vancouver fire department arrived at the site, about half-way between Horseshoe Bay and Sunset Beach, to find the roof fully involved.
