Famous B.C. artist Jack
Shadbolt has painted a full
canvas work based on one of
Wyman's
choreographies, Adastra,
which will be unveiled as
part of the birthday celebra-
tions. Tickets for the gala
can be purchased through
the Company at 926-6041.
Tax receipts will be issued.

Wyman stages new program

Theatre on Tour, is an inside
look at the  behind-the-
scenes of a small performing
arts group on tour, through
buses, hotels, rehearsals and
performance.

Also featured on the Van-
couver programmes will be
Wyman favorites such as A
Dancer's Circus, Hamartia,
and Surya Saviter.

This home season pro-
mises to be an exciting dance
performance from one of
Canada’s top modern com-

Local artist
exhibits in NV

An exhibition of Ruth
Meek’s art takes place in Ci-
ty Hall, 141 W. 15th Street,
North Vancouver.

Opening night is Wednes-
day Apnl 7, 7:30 p.m., and
the show continues through
May 5, Monday through Fri-
day 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The show includes water-
colours, acrylics and oils.

Ruth says of her work:
“My goal is to capture my
environment in all its moods
and seasons. The images |
choose are somewhat
autobiographical, rooted as
they are in my memory from
personal experience.”

shows, here and in Alberta
Several 3 man shows and a
previous one man show have
taken place in the last four
years. Her next one man
show is in August at Rich-
mond Art Centre.
