Referees keep a very close
eye on the game and have no
hesitation in penalizing
players for even the most
‘minor of infractions.

However if Sunday's
Tween final is any indication
this does not slow the game
down at all.

Ringette has only been
played in North Vancouver
since 1978 when it was
imported from, if you can
believe it, Langley.

Since that time the sport
has proved very popular but
ringette registration has
actually dropped in the last
few years because of the
problem of getting ice time.
