(Ian Smith photo) : North Shore News picked up their biggest win Sunday, as they romped past Fagen’s Den 7-0 in one of three games played in the North Shore Industrial Soccer League on the weekend. News striker, Peter Lukas had his best game, production wise, of the season as he scored four goals to lead the scoring parade. Jim Bissenden chipped in for a pair, while Chris McManus tallied once. Number seven was scored by Poole on a diving header while the final goal came on a rocket-like drive from the foot of Don MacClean. Henry Summers and Wayne Kennedy stood out for Avalons on offense while Lucky 7’s Lynn Valley players felt somewhat encouraged at half time in their coaches league game on Sunday when they found themselves only down 2-0 to Old Timers. The encouragement came from the fact that the team was playing short handed against a tough opponent. However, the second half did in the short handed team as Old Timers came away with a 7-0 win. In other games Olympia Goldcaps also scored seven in their 7-3 win over Time Out. For Goldcaps it marked the end of a slump.
