One of the observations | have made is that there are some so-called ‘‘simple-minded’’ people who are very smart, kind, open-minded, and have a knowledge of the forests and the environment that you can’t gain by reading books, but only through years of hands-on experience. I have also met some so-called ‘‘educated’’ people who were rather stupid, callous, narrow-minded and category. Duncan column, there is no doubt that you fall into the latter 1 feel sorry for you, Mr. Hunter, because therefore you are part of the problem, not the solution. My ad- vice to you is to get off your elitist high horse and get your urban butt out into the rural communities and talk, not preach, to the men and women who work in the industry, about compromise and co-existence.
