RELIABLE SHOPPERS are wanted to shop for small items on a weekly basis for residents of a seniors’ lodge. If you have a vehi- cle and enjuy seniors this position will interest you. Hours are flexible on Thursdays and time commit- ment is two hours. ENERGETIC FRIENDLY peo- ple to help supervise at a drop-in centre for teens. Volunteer should enjoy playing pool and foosball and relate well to teens. Commit- ment of three hours one evening per week. Training and orientation provided. BOARD MEMBERS are wanted by a caregiver support group to at- tend monthly meetings. Volunteer must have a keen interest in pro- viding services to family caregivers. A background in PR or fund raising would be helpful. Meetings are ongoing, once a month on Mondays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. TEAM MEMBERS are wanted to assist a local women's centre with special event planning. Duties include working on the annual general meeting and brunch in late June. Participants will later be in- vited to take part in the fund-rais- ing committee. Volunteer should be over 25 and sensitive to feminist issues. FRIENDLY VISITORS are wanted to visit frail elderly citizens in their homes. A car is sometimes required for outings. If you enjoy seniors and have a few hours per week to spare come and help fill this vital need. Hours are flexible, weekdays are sometimes preferred. Children’s acting classes offered PRESENTATION HOUSE offers an ideal opportunity for children and young adults to break into the magical world of theatre. Besides providing a structured i7-year-olds, offers youngsters the chance to meet new friends, break down inhibitions and explore the imagination.
