Mackenzie established the finishing school in October 1986 to offer graduates an environment that would allow them to “bridge the gap”? between leaving school and entering the work force. . For children aged six to 13 years the centre is offering a seven-week summer program, ‘‘Kids in Mo- ~-tion’’, with each week having a different theme. Weekly registration is necessary and since some camps are already full, it is recommended that you call Eagle Harbour at 921-7425 to enquire about the availability of space. Themes of the weeks are, Ses- sion I: (already run) Kids into Water; Session II, which starts Ju- ly 11, Gym and Sport Kids; Ses- sion 111, High Tech Kids; Session _IV, Kids Off The Ground; Session V, Pre-Historic Kids; Session VI, Kids into Water; Session VII, Kids having a Ball. A flyer outlining these children’s programs may be picked up either at the West. Vancouver Recreation Centre or at Eagle Harbour Com- ‘munity Centre, 5575 Marine Drive, West Vancouver. These sessions are divided into two age levels — Level A, for children aged six to nine years, and -Level B, for children aged 10 to 13 years. Time is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday; dates are -weekly to August 18. ‘ For preschool-aged children is Rainbow Room Mini Camp, seven weeks of fun for your little ones! Also divided into age levels A and B, the first will accommodate tots aged two to three years, while the second level will take four and five year-olds, -.You have a choice of times, but several of them have already sold out, so call to enquire prior to coming to preregister your child. These camps run in two-week sessions, although you may register for one week only, provided there is space. Session I, ending July 15, . features the theme.
