He was predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen {Neen) in 1975. He will be fondly yemembered by his son Bob, daughter- intaw Pat and prandson Jeffrey; his sister Patricia Disher and her husband Wayne and their family; by the families of his fate sister Nellie Young, and late brothers Ellis and Dick and his sister-in- law Florence Robinson, and her son Don; by Pat's family, Alfred and Margaret Chard, Joan and David; and by his many friends who enriched his life. Arthur was born in Chorley, Lancashire, England and came te Vancouver in 1919. An honorary member of the Native Sons of British Columbia, he was interested in the history and develop- ment of Vancouver. He was active in Musical circles as a cellist, particularly enjoying chamber music and his in- volvement in string quartets. Arthur's fa- ther, Robert, was a double bass player and founding member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Arthur developed and managed the prin- ting department of the Vancouver Gen- eral Hospital, retiring in 1971.
