February 8, 1997 - North Shore News Year 2000 educational policy to focus on individual, not class BY THE next century, ail school work will be “learner focused’’ and high-school graduates will be educded to deal with change, according to goals in’ a ministry of Year 2000: A Framework for education policy called Learning. The new school system has started already on the North Shore with dual-entry Kindergarten or the primary pro- gram. The intermediate program, which is a new curriculum for Grades 4 to 10, and the gradua- tion program (Grades 11 and 12) are still in draft form.
