Sports Hall of Fame is moving its current location at the PNE grounds to B.C. Place Stadium. Plans were also unveiled for the addition of a new state-of-the-art, high-tech sports museum. “This is great news for the whole Province of British Colum- bia,’ said Gerald McGavin, chairman. ‘‘Sporting events and sports history play an important role in our Canadian culture.” Over 632,000 amateur athietes in the province are registered with Sport B.C. The new Sports Halil of Fame and Museum will de geared to at- tracting tourists and will illustrate sports history for both children and adults.
