Air show thrills

RECORD CROWDS totalling 254,000 people came oul to the three-
day 27th annual Abbotsford International Air Show held over the
weekend. Ground displays (left) of fighter jets, carrier planes and
helicopters complemented in-the-air airplane, jet and sailplane acro-
batics, a helicopter rescue and a fire-fighting demonstration. Four of
the U.S, Navy's Blue Angels (below Jeft) do a flypast for the crowd,
and the nine Canadian Snowbirds (below) fly in formation.
